WHEN IT COMES TO SUSTAINABLE GENERATION OF ENERGY
NORWAY IS A WORLD LEADER; LOW COSTS, ENORMOUS AVAILABILITY
The Norwegian hydropower plants generate energy by making use of the high and low tide and of rain and melt water flowing into the fjords. As a result, the cost of electricity is very low. At the same time, the availability is enormous. This offers major opportunities for electric field heating.
The Norwegian Ministry of Sports and Culture has subjected the heating systems of Alecs Field Heating to many tests. Key elements in this were: energy consumption, reliability, investment and user-friendliness. Our systems score optimally on all these factors. This was confirmed by players and trainers, who can now play on a soft field even when it is minus 15 degrees Celsius (5 °F). This is unique!
NORWEGIAN GOVERNMENT GRANTS SUBSIDY
On the basis of these results, which are set out in a report, the Norwegian Ministry of Sports and Culture decided to subsidise the systems of Alecs Field Heating. In practice, this means that the Ministry of Sports and Culture pays for approximately 30 percent of the investment costs. The clubs that consider buying one of our systems are more encouraged to do so as a result. This decision has led to a strong increase in the number of installations.
